Family life on the farm

Welcome to Life with the Dugis

Hello and welcome to Life with the Dugis. My name is Tracey Dugi. I am the Wife/Mama/Chaos Coordinator of the Dugi Family. I bring to you the very best of my real life experiences of managing a large family, managing life on farm, and all things motherhood.

Motherhood is hard. There are days I absolutely feel like I am failing at life. Some days are just plain hard. But as moms we still show up. It may be with messy bun hair, in yoga pants (honesty moment: I have never in my life done yoga) in slippers (or mudhog boots) because we forgot to change our shoes as we ran out the door. But the important part is we still show up. We don’t give up. Undeniably we drink our forgotten cold coffee, straighten up our messy bun and keep going. And then there are days when you see your child being a kind human and know you must be doing something right.

With almost 2 decades of motherhood experience I have learned a few things. Some lessons were learned the hard way. Others a little easier, owing to amazing women and mothers who mentor me. As a result I can pass these lessons on to you.

Lastly, be prepared for a lot of laughter. Be prepared for real life. Our blood, sweat, and tears (both joyful and sorrowful) built this family and are continuing to build our farm life dream. There is NEVER a dull moment in this family so I invite you to join me in this entertaining journey!

“Mom [mom] noun: the one who does all the things, for all the people and loves them unconditionally all the time, forever and ever. AMEN”
